Clydus Mae Knight Williams, 74, of Grants Pass, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 at her home. A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 26, 2012 at Jerome Prairie Bible Church (2564 Walnut Ave., Grants Pass) with Pastor James Downing officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Clydus was born October 10, 1938 in Coolidge, N.M. The family moved to Cave Junction in 1946 where Clydus attended schools and graduated from Illinois Valley High School Class of 1956. After graduation, she moved to Santa Rosa, Calif. While there she worked as a bookkeeper for 20 years. After returning to Cave Junction, she worked for Sara Hoskins Jones, a ’56 classmate, who owned Valley Bookkeeping. Clydus retired in 1998.
She was a member of Jerome Prairie Bible Church. She enjoyed quilting, yard work, dancing, and crochet.
Survivors include a husband, Arnold Mellow of Grants Pass; a son, Craig Williams of Grants Pass; a daughter, Trace Lee Giles Stenhouse of Groveland, Calif.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jean Hull of Medford, Ore.
